Mansfield Instep

InStep - Walking for Health in Mansfield

Newstead May 2024

Everyone can walk at their own pace.

Faster walkers ahead of the main group should be aware of the route to be taken.

They should check their distance ahead of the main group frequently.

They will only be part of the group if they can be seen from it; it is their responsibly to keep visible.

If in doubt, stop and wait for the main group.

Slower walkers behind the main group should try to keep them in view.

The main group should wait for the slower walkers at a junction.

If you leave the walk for any reason, please inform another walker.

Change of Constitution

Difficulties created by Covid mean we need to run the group in a more informal way.
We will no longer be publishing a programme of walks, these will now be available on our website, Facebook or ask when attending a walk.
We hope this will not affect your enjoyment of the walks and we will be pleased to receive any suggestions on the way forward.

Back Together Again

The link below is to register to become a member.

Registered walkers can turn up as usual at the start of each walk.  Please ensure that you have your EMERGENCY CONTACT CARD with you on each walk and/or have your contact's number on your phone labelled ICE (in case of emergency).

Our walks are free and take place on Monday and Thursday mornings at 10, and last about two hours.

They are 4.5 to 6 miles in length, and termed 'Progressive' in the Ramblers/Macmillan classification.

Details of dates and venues will appear on the Walks Programme page of this website and on Google calendar.

Please remember you walk at your own risk and are responsible for your own actions and the actions of anyone in your care, and you must observe current Government regulations.

Please arrive a few minutes before the 10 am start time.

We are grateful for support from:-

Mansfield Town Football Club, Ransom Wood Business Park, the Miners' Welfares and Public Houses who allow us to use their car parks as meeting places.
